Aries Mood Board

In a shocking twist of events, this air sign has stuck with a series into a part two!! And that’s this blog post. If you haven’t checked out the Pisces season post, go do that to put a cute little button on the astrological year.

This Aries Season Mood Board is a celebration of every Aries placement from the perspective of a psychic designer (hi). I’ve rounded up my favorite visuals that whisper Aries to my heart. I hope this post can be a launching point for you to dive into the season, exploring the parts of you that are ready, willing, and able, as is the Aries way.

The Unexpected Red

Bathroom Design by Rascal & Roses

Red? For Aries Season? Groundbreaking. The phrase “unexpected red theory” was coined on TikTok (rip) and justified beautifully by Ingrid Fetell Lee, my design hero, in this blog. The idea is that a pop of red where it seemingly doesn’t belong adds character to a room and makes it feel intentionally designed. Aside from the obvious associations of red with Aries as a fire sign ruled by the red planet Mars, the unexpected element speaks to the impulsivity and irreverence embodied in this cardinal sign.

Mixed Analog and Digital Design

Digital Poster by Si Muero

The gasp I gumpsed when I saw this poster for Spanish jewelry brand, Simuero. This very specific expression of wabi-sabi that combines pen to paper media with digital graphic design is such a contrast to a typical photographic Instagram post/Canva-esque graphic we’ve been scrolling through. It’s fresh! It’s individual! It’s rebellious! It’s messy! It’s Aries.

Schiaparelli Dress

by Daniel Roseberry

Let’s hear it for the dress. Schiaparelli’s look on Emily Blunt at the Oscars was, shall we say, divisive? Threads user rebcoco called it a “tightey whightey life preserver” and she was just one of many, this dress was not for everyone. Emily Blunt’s stylist, Jessica Paster, told Perez Hilton; “Did I know that people were going to talk about the shoulder? Absolutely. Do I care about what anybody else has to say? Absolutely not.” Jessica Paster, if you’re reading this, we need to know if you have any prominent Aries placements. For science.

Regardless, a lot of us adored it for its visually understated but conceptually bold expression. It represents one of Aries’ most important and most overlooked traits; it’s playful.

90’s Toy Packaging

Speaking of playful, here, have a hit of nostalgia. This 1997 tamagotchi package goes hard with color and movement in a hand drawn marker that is evidently still very effective as it literally has me shopping for a tamagotchi almost 30 years later.

Thanks for tuning in. Consensually kiss your favorite Aries and commit to your next legal impulse!
